Adult out of court resolutions

Men in a support group talking to each other
We work with practitioners to create and expand out of court resolutions for adults to keep communities safer.

Increasingly, the evidence base for pre-court diversion schemes for adults are becoming stronger and more widespread. There is a growing appetite to support adults entering the criminal justice system for low level offences, with distinct needs and vulnerabilities, and offering meaningful and effective interventions. These interventions focus on the needs of the person while seeking to minimise/avoid the negative consequences of court prosecution and criminal records. We are actively working with the police and others across the country to support them in developing evidence-led pre-court diversion for adult offenders.

We have compiled a resource page for practitioners to support the implementation of pre-court diversion schemes for adults.
